September 12th Bible Times Jamboree ~ Voluteers Needed!
At the Church of Christ at Grissom we have a program on Wednesday nights that we call JAM (Jesus And Me) for the 2-13 year olds. Every fall we have a JAMboree for a fun day for the kids and to get more kids from the community interested and involved. Last year we had a Bible Times theme which we are doing again this year. The idea is to give the kids an idea of what it would have been like in Bethlehem in Jesus' time on earth. So all the adults doing the game and craft booths are going to dress up in Bible times garb. There will be Roman soldiers going around collecting taxes and lots of Bible times foods in the Bazaar.
We really need more people to staff the booths and help make the day great for the kids! Are you interested? It is from 1-4pm on Saturday, September 12th 2009. You would probably need to be there between 11am-12pm for set up and figuring out the last minute details. We will have the costumes available and many booths are planned. You can pick one that sounds fun or just walk around and add to the village atmosphere. Please let me know ASAP if you can help. Probably need to know for sure by the 5th so that arrangements can be made for your garb etc.
